This is 1995 Japanese edition of Yuuki Masami's Patlabor. This volume contains both volume 1 and volume 2 of the Viz Comics English edition.

Patlabors are Patrol Labors. Robot police designed to patrol to ever growing use of robots in society. This volume has three chapters (The Right Staff, Shaft and Active Factor) plus a prologue.

These books were the basis for a television series and three movies directed by Mamoru Oshii of Production I.G.
